PASSION FOR CRICKET: MY FIRST BLOG

My Passion For Cricket

“If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion”.

While navigating through my Facebook page yesterday on a drowsy Saturday morning, I encountered with a post with this quote by Bishop Jakes written on it.

Surprisingly, it took me into a flashback of 9 months ago where similar to every year I was going to make a so-called New Year resolution this year too. “This year I’ll follow my passion and lead it to light at any cost”, I made a resolution.

However, it lasts only a moment or two and I moved on with my stuff forgetting about it.

The very next instant I came out of the flashback.

With twirling curves on my lips along with a deep breath, I whispered; Saksham, Let’s Give It a Shot.

That was how the ideas generated, and trust me; it took only a couple of minute for me to decide what I am going to do.

I’ll start my own blog and share my passion with people having the same appetite, I said to my elder brother sitting next to me. He asked with curiosity, so what’s that passion is?

“Cricket”, I replied in less than a second (0.492 seconds to be precise).

After taking a pause, with an intense look together with a gleam of excitement on his face, he said; “Accha Hai, Tujhe karna Chaiye Ye” (you should go for it)..!

Three hours later, I created a new blog- “Cricket Classics”.

Cricket Classics is for all you guys who share a common obsession for cricket just like me.

All you fans know that, Cricket in India as well as in most of the nations of world is the most popular and mostly watched sports. The craze, the thrill, the excitement, and the passion that the spectators experience during a cricket match in India are equivalent to that of Soccer in Brazil or Spain.

However, there are so many people who don’t like the hype of this game, but still it remains an evergreen topic on which India can talk all the time.

Most of the people with whom I discussed my thoughts regarding this blog in the last 12-15 hours have asked me a similar question.

Why Cricket?

It’s because cricket in India is not just a sport, rather it has desperately became a religion for the millions of enthusiastic people like you and me. In this religion, everyone have their own Gods, whether it is Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, or anyone else.

The obsession for cricket is increasing unremittingly and hence the thought of reaching and connecting with all the cricketing fans like you inspires me to share my views with you all on cricket.

There are thousands of blogs and websites already serving the same content on cricket but still there are billions of cricketing fans in the world who are tremendously ardent and passionate to support each one of them.

So friends this is my small step in this expanse and I hope this goes on the same way through your love and support.

I, on this Cricket Classics will bring you all with the latest news and updates on cricket, whether it is Asia Cup 2018, India’s tour of Australia, ICC World Cup 2019, or any other cricketing series, with the same passion and enthusiasm.

So, keep supporting and stay tuned. Goodbye... Sayonara..!!
